The climbing triangle is rooted in the principles of Pikler-Lóczy education, particularly the principle of free movement.

It provides unique support for developing your child's creativity, agility and motor skills.

Children find it to be the perfect support for free play and an ideal contribution to their “yes space”.

On its own, it encourages young children to coordinate their movements as they climb it, thanks to its sturdy rungs adapted to their hands and feet. Even when they are still very young, it can already be used to hang their mobiles from. As they grow, it becomes an opportunity to try new positions, invent new games, turn it into a tent, a playhouse...

With its ramp, it becomes an indoor slide that children will enjoy climbing up and then descending face first, backwards, standing up, on all fours or sliding on their bottoms.

The advantage of the climbing triangle is that, through the multiple forms it can take, it broadens the range of movements available to the child. It can even be transformed into two separate triangles!

In 2016, Linda and her husband began working on the design of unique products in the basement of their home, in the suburbs of Riga. Firmly believing in children's natural development, the idea was simple: to create products that allow children to assist their parents and encourage their freedom of movement.

Based on the principles of Montessori and Pikler education, each of their products is designed to be durable, passed down to future generations, multifunctional, and easy to use every day - so it can be used again and again!

Today, each product is carefully handmade and made to order to avoid overproduction.

What are the educational benefits of this product?

In Pikler-Lóczy pedagogy, children aged 0 to 3 learn to understand their bodies and master their movements. They are allowed to act without intervention in their postures and take the initiative in their movements: this is the principle of free movement. 

The Pikler-Lóczy triangle provides children with a unique free-movement aid. They will climb, descend, use their arms and legs, as well as their hands and feet, activating their entire bodies to coordinate their movements.

For Maria Montessori, repetition plays an essential role in development. Children repeat an activity as long as it interests them, until they have mastered an exercise, activity, or movement. During the sensitive period for the coordination of movements (from approximately 18 months to 4 years), the Pikler-Lóczy triangle offers numerous opportunities for movement, allowing children to try, do, and repeat until they master each movement.

The Pikler-Lóczy triangle also gives children the opportunity to make it more than just a movement aid. This is where the concept of free play, cherished by Rudolf Steiner, takes shape as they give free rein to their imagination.

What are the benefits from a neuroscience perspective?

What is sensory-motor development?

Sensory-motor development is the process through which children develop their senses and learn to perform, master, and coordinate their movements.

The senses include the best-known ones: sight, hearing, smell, taste, and touch, as well as balance (through the vestibular system) and proprioception (the position of the body in space, provided by the somatosensory system). 

These different senses work together and in conjunction with the motor system.

In terms of motor development, two broad categories of motor skills can be distinguished:

• gross motor skills, which refer to movements of the entire body or its larger limbs and muscles (legs, arms, torso, head),
• fine motor skills, which refer to movements of smaller muscles and limbs (fingers, hands, wrists, feet, ankles, toes, lips, tongue).

What age groups is it suitable for?

The climbing triangle can be actively used as a brachiation ladder from the moment your child tries to stand up independently, then in its triangle configuration once they are able to stand, and up to approximately 8 years of age. It can be climbed, used as an indoor slide when combined with its ramp, or even turned into a tent, playhouse, and more.

• This item is made to order and has a production time of 1 to 2 weeks. Delivery then takes 5 business days.
• Shipping is handled by Fedex, except in exceptional circumstances. 
• Once your parcel has been shipped, a tracking number will be sent to you by email.

Returns 

Have you received your item but it is not suitable for you? Don’t worry, you have 14 days from the date you receive your parcel to return the product concerned. 

As a small family business, we are unfortunately not yet able to cover postage costs, so return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility, and returns must be sent to the country from which this product was shipped, Latvia.

To be eligible for a return, please ensure that the following conditions are met :

• The product must arrive in its original and complete condition (packaging, accessories, instructions).
• The request must not concern made-to-measure products for which the customer provided personalization details (for example, a cutting or manufacturing dimension).

Please understand that we cannot accept assembled, used, or worn items, as they cannot be resold.

Refund 

The refund will be issued within 14 days after receipt of the products, for the full amount of the returned products, using the same payment method as the one used for the order.
