The evolutionary triangle finds its roots in the principles of Pikler-Lóczy pedagogy, in particular that of free motor skills.
It offers a unique type of support for the development of your child's creativity, agility and motor skills.
Children find in it a perfect support for free play and an ideal contribution to their “yes space”.
Alone, it invites our young children to coordinate their movements to climb it, thanks to its solid rungs adapted to their hands and feet. Even when they are still very small, you can already use it to hang their mobiles. As it grows, it becomes an opportunity to try new positions, to invent new games, to make a tent, a cabin...
With its ramp, it is an indoor slide, which they will have fun going up and then down from the front, from behind, standing up, on all fours, or sliding on their buttocks.
The advantage of the evolving triangle is that it allows, through the multiple forms it can take, to broaden the range of possible movements for the child. It can even transform into two separate triangles!

Manufacturing partner
In 2016, Linda and her husband started working on designing unique products in the basement of their house on the outskirts of Riga. Firmly believing in the natural development of the child, the idea was simple: create products that allow children to assist their parents and promote their freedom of movement.
Based on the principles of Montessori and Pikler pedagogies, each of their products is intended to be durable, transmissible to subsequent generations, multifunctional and easy to use on a daily basis - to be used again and again!
Today, each product is carefully handcrafted and made to order to avoid overproduction.
What is the educational benefit of this product?
In the Pikler-Lóczy pedagogy, children aged 0 to 3 learn to know their body and control its movements. We let him do it, without intervening in his postures, he initiates his movements: this is the principle of free motor skills.
The Pikler-Lóczy triangle gives children a unique free motor skill support. They will climb, descend, use their arms, their legs, but also their hands and their feet, and it is in fact their entire body that they will activate to coordinate their movements.
At Maria Montessori, repetition plays an essential place in development. A child repeats as long as it is interesting for him, until he masters an exercise, an activity, a movement. During the sensitive period of coordination of movements (from approximately 18 months to 4 years), the interest of the Pikler-Lóczy triangle is to offer numerous opportunities for movement, to try, do, reiterate, until the mastery of each gesture.
The Pikler-Lóczy triangle also represents an opportunity for children to do more than just support motor skills, and it is the concept of free play, dear to Rudolf Steiner, which will take shape when they give free rein to their imagination.
What is the interest from a neuroscience point of view?
- Participation in sensorimotor development* (*Through the coordination of their movements and the adjustment of their posture.).
- Strengthening neural circuits through repetition of movements.
What is sensorimotor development?
Sensorimotor development is the process by which children develop their senses and learn to perform, control and coordinate their movements.
The senses include the best known ones: sight, hearing, smell, taste, touch, but also balance (thanks to the vestibular system) and proprioception (position of the body in space, given by the somatosensory system).
These different senses work in concert with each other and with the motor system.
In terms of motor development, we can distinguish two main categories of motor skills:
- gross motor skills, which refers to movements of the whole body or the large limbs and muscles of the body (legs, arms, trunk, head),
- fine motor skills, which refers to the movements of smaller muscles and limbs (fingers, hands, wrists, feet, ankles, toes, lips, tongue).
What age groups is it suitable for?
The Scalable Triangle can be actively used as a brachiation bar from the time your child tries to stand up on their own, then in its triangle function once they are able to stand, and up to approximately 8 years. It can be climbed but also used as an indoor slide by combining it with its ramp, or even as a tent, cabin, etc.
What is the point of this product in summary?
- Develop your motor skills, and particularly the coordination of your movements.
- Learn to be independent.
- Strengthen his self-confidence.
