What are the educational benefits of this product?

In Pikler-Lóczy pedagogy, children aged 0 to 3 learn to become familiar with their bodies and master their movements. They are allowed to act without intervention in their postures and take the initiative in their movements: this is the principle of free movement. 

The cube provides children with a unique free-movement aid. They will climb, descend, and use their arms, legs, hands, and feet; in fact, they will engage their entire bodies to coordinate their movements.

For Maria Montessori, repetition plays an essential role in development. Children repeat an activity for as long as it remains interesting to them, until they master an exercise, activity, or movement. During the sensitive period for movement coordination (from approximately 18 months to 4 years), the cube offers numerous opportunities for movement, allowing children to try, perform, and repeat movements until they master each one.

The Pikler-Lóczy cube also gives children the opportunity to make it more than a simple movement aid. This is where the concept of free play, so dear to Rudolf Steiner, takes shape as they give free rein to their imagination.

What is sensory-motor development?

Sensory-motor development is the process through which children develop their senses and learn to perform, master, and coordinate their movements.

The senses include the best-known ones, such as sight, hearing, smell, taste, and touch, as well as balance (through the vestibular system) and proprioception (the body’s position in space, provided by the somatosensory system). 

These different senses work together and in conjunction with the motor system.

In terms of motor development, two main categories of motor skills can be distinguished:

• gross motor skills, which refer to movements of the entire body or its larger limbs and muscles (legs, arms, torso, head),
• fine motor skills, which refer to movements of smaller muscles and limbs (fingers, hands, wrists, feet, ankles, toes, lips, tongue).

What age groups is it suitable for?

The adjustable climbing cube can be actively used as a brachiation bar from the moment your child begins trying to stand up independently, then as a climbing cube once they are able to stand, and up to approximately 8 years of age. It can be climbed on, used as an indoor slide when paired with its ramp, or turned into a tent, playhouse, and more.

• Delivery then takes 7 to 10 business days.
• Shipping is handled by FedEx, except in exceptional circumstances. 
• Once your parcel has been shipped, a tracking number will be sent to you by email.

Returns 

Have you received your item but it is not suitable for you? Don't worry, you have 14 days from the date you receive your parcel to return the product concerned. 

As a small family business, we are unfortunately not yet able to cover postage costs, so return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility, and returns must be sent to the country from which this product was shipped, Latvia.

To be eligible for a return, please ensure that the following conditions are met :

• The product must arrive in its original and complete condition (packaging, accessories, instructions).
• The request must not concern custom-made products for which the customer provided personalization details (for example: a cutting or manufacturing dimension).

Please understand that we cannot accept assembled, used, or worn items, as they cannot be resold.

⚠ Please note that a return received without prior contact may result in the right of withdrawal being denied. 

Refund 

The refund will be issued within 14 days after receipt of the products, for the full amount of the returned products, using the same payment method as the one used for the order.
