Handmade, soft, and comfortable, it comes with a cushion for a cozy seat and features sturdy fabric that can even support the weight of adults who decide to take refuge in it to relax!

Younger children will learn to find their balance and climb onto a soft, moving support. They can place their toys, dolls, and stuffed animals in it, hide, rest, swing, and discover enjoyable movement sensations while engaging their vestibular system.

Designed for both indoor and outdoor use, their cocoon can be hung from the ceiling or a sturdy tree branch in the garden, allowing them to enjoy their own little corner away from the world in every season and whatever the weather.

Care

Manufacturing partner

Combining experience in engineering, interior design and sewing, Inga and Evaldas created products that they design and manufacture at home, in the suburbs of Vilnius. 

This family business traces its roots to the birth of their two daughters and their desire to give them a first swing, handcrafted, which inspired other creations: first, a Christmas gift for a little boy living in an orphanage, a gift for a child in their circle, then another, and different designs were born, for both the youngest and the oldest.

What is the educational benefit of this product?

As part of free play, the cocoon can support children as they learn about their bodies and master their movements. 

In Pikler-Lóczy education, particularly between 0 and 3 years of age, children are allowed to act without intervention in their postures; they initiate their own movements. This is the principle of free movement.

It will also be used to define spaces in a prepared environment, as part of the Montessori method, for example. It is also an ideal support during the sensitive period for coordination of movement identified by Maria Montessori, which children go through between approximately 18 months and 4 years of age.
 

What is the benefit from a neuroscience perspective?

What is sensory-motor development?

Sensory-motor development is the process through which children develop their senses and learn to perform, master, and coordinate their movements.

The senses include the best-known ones, namely sight, hearing, smell, taste, and touch, as well as balance (thanks to the vestibular system) and proprioception (the body's position in space, provided by the somatosensory system). 

These different senses work together with one another and with the motor system.

In terms of motor development, two main categories of motor skills can be distinguished:

• gross motor skills, which refer to movements of the whole body or its larger limbs and muscles (legs, arms, torso, and head),
• fine motor skills, which refer to movements of smaller muscles and limbs (fingers, hands, wrists, feet, ankles, toes, lips, and tongue).

What age ranges is it suitable for?

The cocoon can be used as soon as your child can stand independently. They will try to use it for support, climb into it, and settle into it in different positions. The cocoon will thus support your child as they develop their motor skills and independence. They can use it into adulthood, and the whole family can enjoy it.

• Once your parcel has been shipped, a tracking number will be sent to you by email.

Returns 

Have you received your item but it is not suitable for you? Don't worry, you have 14 days from the date you receive your parcel to return the product concerned. 

As a small family business, we are unfortunately not yet able to cover postage costs, so return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility, and returns must be sent to the country from which this product was shipped, Lithuania.

To be eligible for a return, please ensure that the following conditions are met :

• The product must arrive in its original, complete condition (packaging, accessories, instructions).
• The request must not concern custom-made products for which the customer provided personalization details (for example: a cutting or manufacturing dimension).

Please understand that we cannot accept assembled, used, or worn items, as they cannot be resold.

⚠ Please note that a return received without prior contact may result in the loss of your right of withdrawal. 

Refund 

The refund will be issued within 14 days of receipt of the products, for the full amount of the returned products, using the same payment method as the one used for the order.
