It is suitable for any type of space and can be easily stored thanks to its 4 sections. These elements also make it a valuable tool that allows children to use it as they wish and let their imaginations run free: it can become one or two seats, a backrest, or a sofa. It is a support they can adapt to their activities and preferences.

Because we are never safe from a spilled glass, a snack that leaves stains, or a diaper accident, its removable cover can be easily machine-washed.

Indoors or outdoors, the play mat can also be used as a base for other toys, structures, and furniture, cushioning any uncontrolled landing or possible fall.

What are the educational benefits of this product?

As part of free play, recommended by all active educational approaches, the motor-skills mat is an essential aid for providing a sense of security, particularly for younger children.

It can support children as they learn about their bodies and master their movements. In the Pikler-Lóczy approach, particularly between 0 and 3 years of age, children are allowed to act without adults intervening in their postures; they initiate their own movements. This is the principle of free movement.

This mat can also be used to define areas within a prepared environment, as in the Montessori method. It is also an ideal support during the sensitive period for the coordination of movements identified by Maria Montessori, which children experience from approximately 18 months to 4 years of age.

What is sensorimotor development?

Sensorimotor development is the process through which children develop their senses and learn to perform, master, and coordinate their movements.

The senses include the best-known ones, namely sight, hearing, smell, taste, and touch, as well as balance (through the vestibular system) and proprioception (awareness of the body's position in space, provided by the somatosensory system). 

These different senses work together and in conjunction with the motor system.

In terms of motor development, two main categories of motor skills can be distinguished:

• gross motor skills, which refer to movements involving the whole body or larger body parts and muscles (legs, arms, torso, and head),
• fine motor skills, which refer to movements involving smaller muscles and body parts (fingers, hands, wrists, feet, ankles, toes, lips, and tongue).

What age ranges is it suitable for?

The play mat can be used from birth to support your child as they develop their motor skills and independence. The motor-skills mat can be used throughout their childhood.

• This product is shipped from Poland by our manufacturing partner Meow Baby.
• Delivery takes 7 to 10 business days.
• Shipping is handled by DHL/La Poste, except in exceptional circumstances. 
• Once your package has been shipped, a tracking number will be sent to you by email.

Returns 

Have you received your item but it does not suit you? Don’t worry, you have 14 days from the date you receive your package to return the product concerned. 

As a small family business, we are unfortunately not yet able to cover postage costs, so return costs are the customer’s responsibility, and returns must be sent to the country from which this product was shipped, Poland.

To be eligible for a return, please ensure that the following conditions are met :

• The product must arrive in its original and complete condition (packaging, accessories, instructions).
• The request must not concern custom-made products for which the customer provided personalization details (for example, a cutting or manufacturing dimension).

Please understand that we cannot accept assembled, used, or worn items, as they cannot be resold.

Send your return request, including your order number and the product you wish to return, to our Customer Service team by email at the following address: bonjour@monloove.com 

⚠ Please note that a return received without prior contact may result in the loss of your right of withdrawal. 

Refund 

The refund will be issued within 14 days after receipt of the products, for the full amount of the returned products, using the same payment method as the one used for the order.
