This wooden play area is designed to adapt to both our children and our outdoor spaces.
Small enough not to become bulky, it can easily find its place in the garden.
Large enough to provide our children with plenty of room to enjoy themselves for many years to come, its climbing wall will give our children the opportunity to challenge their dexterity and learn to master their balance, while helping to their moments of free play.
Its upper floor constitutes a superb observation post of a fortified castle, with its telescope and its knight's shield, they can go up there to invent stories, alone or with others.
Our children will find in this play area a hiding place, a refuge and a retreat where they can focus on their concentration activities, and will enjoy spending time outside.
And as it is made of raw wood, it can be painted and decorated according to our tastes and desires.

Manufacturing partner
Historic French company, Soulet was born in Vendée where it was founded by Charles Soulet, a compagnon du devoir, in the 19th century.
Over time and the development of its activity, the Soulet rope factory diversified into outdoor games for children, which are today its core business.
Aware of societal and environmental issues, it uses certified wood, from sustainably managed forests, and designs its products so that they ensure the safety of our children, arouse their wonder and awaken in them the desire to spend time outside.
What is the educational benefit of this product?
The playground contributes to an environment adapted to free play, one of the common foundations of all active pedagogies, and motor skills, a central element of Pikler-Lóczy pedagogy.
It allows the child to discover new sensations, develop their balance and learn to control their body through the repetition of movements.
Our children will be able to use their play area as a support for their independent activities, central to active pedagogies, through imitation games and role plays, they will be able to climb there, use their arms, their legs, but also their hands and feet, and activate their entire body to coordinate their movements (sensitive period for Maria Montessori) and strengthen themselves muscularly.
What is the interest from a neuroscience point of view?
- Participation in sensorimotor, cognitive and socio-affective development* (*Through movement, balance, support for activities, imitation games, role plays and interactions with other children).
- Strengthening neural circuits through repetition of movements.
What is sensorimotor development?
Sensorimotor development is the process by which children develop their senses and learn to perform, control and coordinate their movements.
The senses include the best known ones: sight, hearing, smell, taste, touch, but also balance (thanks to the vestibular system) and proprioception (position of the body in space, given by the somatosensory system).
These different senses work in concert with each other and with the motor system.
In terms of motor development, we can distinguish two main categories of motor skills:
- gross motor skills, which refers to movements of the whole body or the large limbs and muscles of the body (legs, arms, trunk, head),
- fine motor skills, which refers to the movements of smaller muscles and limbs (fingers, hands, wrists, feet, ankles, toes, lips, tongue).
What is cognitive development?
Cognitive development is the process by which children acquire, organize and learn to use knowledge. Cognitive skills are numerous, varied, and are orchestrated by executive functions. They include, among others, language, goal-directed behaviors, planning, cognitive flexibility, short-term memory (or working memory), long-term memory, the ability not to be distracted, to control emotional reactions, etc.
What is socio-emotional development?
Social-emotional development is the process by which children acquire the ability to understand, express and manage their thoughts, emotions and behavior.
Social and emotional skills are also directly linked to how they perceive themselves and develop relationships with others.
What age groups is it suitable for?
The play area can be used from 3 years old to approximately 12 years old.
What is the point of this product in summary?
- Develop your dexterity and balance.
- Contribute to their imitation and imagination games.
