What is the educational value of this product?

With its bed canopy, which will contribute to their “yes space,” your child will be able to come and go freely, unrestricted in their movements, as recommended by Emmi Pikler.

They will use their canopy as a support for independent activities, which are central to active educational approaches, through materials specially designed for their cognitive development (particularly Montessori materials), crafts and projects (found notably in the Steiner-Waldorf, Reggio, Freinet and Decroly educational approaches), imitation and role-playing games, or through living books, cherished by Charlotte Mason, which will nurture their imagination.

It will be a place where the child can spend time alone or with others, take part in their prepared environment, a cornerstone of the Montessori approach, and accompany them as they move through the sensitive periods of language (approximately 2 months - 6 years), coordination of movement (approximately 18 months - 4 years), order (approximately 0 - 6 years), refinement of the senses (approximately 18 months - 5 years), social behavior (approximately 2.5 years - 6 years), and small objects (during the second year).

What is sensorimotor development?

Sensorimotor development is the process through which children develop their senses and learn to perform, master and coordinate their movements.

The senses include the best-known ones - sight, hearing, smell, taste and touch - as well as balance (through the vestibular system) and proprioception (the position of the body in space, provided by the somatosensory system). 

These different senses work together and in conjunction with the motor system.

In terms of motor development, two broad categories of motor skills can be distinguished:

• gross motor skills, which refer to movements of the whole body or of the body's larger limbs and muscles (legs, arms, torso, head),
• fine motor skills, which refer to movements of smaller muscles and body parts (fingers, hands, wrists, feet, ankles, toes, lips, tongue).

What is cognitive development?

Cognitive development is the process through which children acquire, organize and learn to use knowledge. Cognitive skills are numerous and varied, and are orchestrated by executive functions. They include, among other things, language, goal-directed behaviors, planning, cognitive flexibility, short-term memory (or working memory), long-term memory, the ability not to be distracted, the ability to control emotional reactions, etc.

What is socio-emotional development?

Socio-emotional development is the process through which children acquire the ability to understand, express and manage their thoughts, emotions and behavior. 
Social and emotional skills are also directly related to how they perceive themselves and develop relationships with others.

What age ranges is it suitable for?

The canopy can be used from birth as a bed canopy above the cradle, then as soon as children begin moving around independently, and can serve them for years as part of their focused activities and play.

• This product is shipped from Poland by our manufacturing partner Paulina.
• This item is made to order and has a manufacturing lead time of 1 to 3 weeks. It is then delivered within 5 business days.
• Shipping is handled by GLS, except in exceptional cases. 
• Once your parcel has been shipped, a tracking number will be sent to you by email.

Returns 

Have you received your item but are not satisfied with it? Don’t worry, you have 14 days from the date you receive your parcel to return the product concerned. 

As a small family business, we are unfortunately not yet able to cover postage costs. Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility, and returns must be sent to the country from which this product was shipped, Poland.

To be eligible for a return, please ensure that the following conditions are met :

• The product must arrive in its original and complete condition (packaging, accessories, instructions).
• The request must not concern custom-made products for which the customer provided personalization details (for example, a cutting or manufacturing dimension).

Please understand that we cannot accept assembled, used, or worn items, as they cannot be resold.

Send your return request, including your order number and the product you wish to return, to our Customer Service team by email at the following address: bonjour@monloove.com 

⚠ Attention!! Please note that a return received without prior contact may result in the loss of your right of withdrawal. 

Refund 

The refund will be issued within 14 days after the products are received, for the full amount of the returned products, using the same payment method as the one used for the order.
