What is the educational value of this product?

As part of free play, recommended by all active educational approaches, the mat is an essential aid for providing a sense of safety, particularly for younger children.

It can support children as they learn about their bodies and master their movements. In the Pikler-Lóczy approach, particularly between 0 and 3 years old, children are allowed to act without intervention in their postures and take the initiative in their movements: this is the principle of free movement. 

The mat can also be used to define spaces in a prepared environment, as in the Montessori method, where it can be adapted to the child’s age and needs, beginning with a nido between 0 and 18 months, where they discover their body and environment through auditory, visual, language, fine motor, hand-eye coordination, balance, and locomotion activities.

What is sensorimotor development?

Sensorimotor development is the process through which children develop their senses and learn to perform, master, and coordinate their movements.

These senses include the best-known ones: sight, hearing, smell, taste, and touch, as well as balance (through the vestibular system) and proprioception (the body’s position in space, provided by the somatosensory system). 

These different senses work together and in conjunction with the motor system.

Regarding motor development, two major categories of motor skills can be distinguished:

• gross motor skills, which refer to movements of the entire body or its larger limbs and muscles (legs, arms, torso, head),
• fine motor skills, which refer to movements of smaller muscles and limbs (fingers, hands, wrists, feet, ankles, toes, lips, tongue).

What age groups is it suitable for?

The mat can be used from birth to support your child’s development of motor skills and independence. It can be used throughout childhood.

• The shipping costs are as follows :

• This product is shipped from Poland by our artisan partner Moi Mili.
• This item is made to order and has a manufacturing time of 2 to 3 weeks. Delivery then takes 5 business days.
• Shipping is handled by GLS, except in exceptional cases. 
• Once your parcel has been shipped, a tracking number will be sent to you by email.

Return 

Have you received your item but it is not suitable for you? Don't worry, you have 14 days from the date you receive your parcel to return the relevant product to us. 

As a small family business, we are unfortunately not yet able to offer postage costs, lreturn costs are the responsibility of the customer, and returns must be sent to the country from which this product was shipped, Poland.

To be eligible for a return, please ensure that the following conditions are met :

• The product must arrive in its original and complete condition (packaging, accessories, instructions).
• The request does not apply to custom-made products for which the customer provided personalization details (for example, a cutting or manufacturing dimension).

Please understand that we cannot accept assembled, used, or worn items as they cannot be resold. 

Return process 

Send your return request with your order number and the product you wish to return to our Customer Service by email at the following address: bonjour@monloove.com 

⚠ Please note that a return received without prior contact may result in the loss of the right of withdrawal. 

Refund 

The refund will be issued within 14 days after receipt of the products, for the full amount of the returned products, using the same payment method as the one used when placing the order.
